Tutorial: Reduce Noise with the CompositorThis is a little tutorial that will help you to reduce noise. First get the node setup from here http://www.mediafire.com/download/t3jug328t85dlq9/bilateral_blur_denoising.blend . Either you delete all the objects and start with a new scene or you can import the composition node in another blend file and then use it on a finished scene.
To import the node click on file -> append -> search for the file you downloaded -> click on it -> NodeTree -> Bilateral Blur Denoising . After importing the node, open the node editor, go to compositor and select use nodes. With shift a -> search for the bilateral node and add it. Now you will notice that you cant connect all the dots since your render layers node hasn't enough. To change this go to the tab beside the render properties and check the following boxes under passes: Combined, Z, Normal . And on the right side select Diffuse (all), Glossy (all), Transmission (all). Last check the Emission and Environment checkboxes.
